Jeanie Marie Buss was born in America. Buss is the founder and president of Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss, a Californian native has an impressive family background. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty business tycoon and then later owned the Lakers. After her parents split up in 1972, she believed they had abandoned her. When she was 19 years old, she became the general manager of Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis team. She founded later the Los Angeles Blades, a professional, roller-hockey club. She was the the president for Great Western Forum prior to becoming the vice-president of Lakers. Buss inherited the Lakers through her father's estate in 2013. Five siblings of hers took over the franchise through an estate trust. In 2013, she took over the presidency of Los Angeles Lakers. Los Angeles Lakers.
