Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of her daughter named her after her hometown. Her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder's dad was born into the Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. She is also half-sister to Sunyata Jubal. Her younger brother is Uria. When Ryder was just seven years old, her family moved to Mendocino County California. In Mendocino County, they did not have electricity. Ryder who was an avid reader aged 12, became a bookworm due to the fact that Ryder had no access to television. Ryder, then 12, took up a place at the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in the year 1983. Lucas was released in 1986. Ryder, who was barely 15 years old, landed a role as a leading actress. Ryder suffered from bullying throughout high school. Ryder hoped her acting career would end the way she dealt with bullying. It didn't turn out. Still, she kept chasing her dreams. Her breakthrough occurred in the year 1988, when Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder had a successful role in several films. In 1993, he was nominated twice for Academy Awards.
